Points of interest
Diosma prama is one of the Rutaceae (the family that includes all the Agathosmas (buchus) and the Coleonemas). There are 28 known Diosmas in the genus. One other Diosma, also grown for Cape Fynbos Oils, is Diosma ramosissima, also known as Anysbos; this has a much stronger aniseed (or “anys”) scent. This is a new indigenous fynbos oil first distilled by the Cape Fynbos Oils farmer’s co-operative in 2025. To the best of our knowledge we are the only producer of this oil.
