The Fynbos and Karoo Biomes

The Fynbos Biome is the world’s epicentre of aromatic plants and the essence of South Africa’s Cape Floral Kingdom. This is the smallest of the earth’s six Floral Kingdoms, and by far the most floristically diverse. Already distinct in origin, soil type and climate, the fynbos biome transitions from wild mountains into the drier and highly scented Karoo Biome, adding another layer to already exceptional species diversity.
